Our Goal: to create a positive and lasting impact and provide new personal perspectives

We are teaming up with GHE - who deliver sustainable projects that make a difference in rural areas of India.

In collaboration with GLS and Mountaineers Travel, we now extend the GHE initiative to Africa, starting with our pilot trip in November 2024 in Uganda

About the Project

Create an impact by help installing solar electricity equipment and computers in a school in Katwe (near Queen Elisabeth Park)

Gain Personal Growth when Niels and Rolf takes 12 participants on a pilot journey of ancient stoic philosophy and personal reflection

When: 16th November - 24th November 2024

Price: 41.500 (All Inclusive) with 20% discount - 33.200,- DKK

Included; Flights Cph-Etb, transport, accomodation, food/drinks, installation materials and group sessions with Niels Overgaard

Approach

Impact at Katwe school

In 2022, Paras, the GHE Founder, and Rolf were invited to Uganda by GLS on a reconnaissance journey to explore potential impact projects in the region while en route to the Power Africa Conference in Rwanda.

As a stop, they visited Katwe school and identified a need for an improved computer program, in combination with solar panels, which would increase the technical potential and education level at the school, in a sustainable way.

This created an opportunity for LIGHT Initiatives to initiate a pilot project at the school.
